Giacomo Sproccati

Program Coordinator, Adjunct Professor

Giacomo was born and raised in Milan, Italy, and he has always been passionate about foreign languages. After studying English and Spanish in high school, he earned a dual undergraduate degree in Communication from the University of Milan and John Cabot University. Then, he moved on to his graduate degree in Italian Studies at California State University, Long Beach.

He returned to Italy and he lives in Florence where he works for Florida State University's Branch Campus.


His workshop title is "A sneak peek on leaders of tomorrow - Thoughts from my experience in Study Abroad"

In his workshop he will share his experience, as a millenial working every day to Gen Z students.

In his job, he interacts with American students, studying in Italy both in academic and extra-curricular settings, and he has become aware of how sensitive these students are, as well as the difficulties in establishing a trustworthy relationship.
