Are you a divergent thinker?
Well, Daedalus certainly was!
If you follow us on a virtual cruise to Chania (Crete), you will get to know him. In Greek mythology, Daedalus was an accomplished architect and craftsman from Crete who managed to build artificial wings, invented the prow of contemporary ships and was a man of many skills and arts! Nowadays, we consider his story as a symbol of wisdom, knowledge, and divergent thinking.
This year the Toastmasters District 109 organises a virtual educational cruise to Chania (Crete), with world-class speakers, exciting workshops and lectures, panel discussions, a fascinating gala event, and many other socialising surprises! The theme is: "Lead with divergent thinking"!
The event will take place in May 2021 on Friday 14th evening, Saturday 15th, and Sunday 16th morning.
We invite you to share your expertise at our online conference taking place from 14 till 16 May 2021. Themes inspired by the Toastmasters Pathways Learning Modules (https://www.toastmasters.org/pathways-overview) are more than welcome! You have the option to apply for more than one session and the flexibility to modify your application(s) till 7 February 2021.
Why? Because by teaching, we learn! Docendo, discimus!
Giving a workshop at the Toastmasters District 109 Conference 2021 is a beautiful opportunity to share your work, skills, and training with a wider audience, to expand your network, and potentially grow your business. If you are a Toastmaster, it can also count as part of your Pathways project advancement.
The call for 40-minute workshops, 20-minute mini-educational sessions or panel discussions, and 10-minute brief energisers is now open. Just log in https://sessionize.com/D109-Chania-conf-2021/ using your social networks (Google, Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft or Office 365) to log in faster, or choose “Classic Login”.
After the applications deadline of 7 February 2021, 23:59, a team of evaluators will carefully review all applications and get back to you by the beginning of March 2021.
We strive to have a divergent and diverse set of speakers, and we look forward to receiving your innovative, inspiring, and fun workshop proposals!
Join us this year in our exciting virtual educational cruise to Chania!
